Merchant ID

It is a unique identifier assigned to ePRINTit SaaS to process transactions. It is a combination of letters and numbers that identifies the merchant and is used to route payments to the correct account. The Merchant ID is generated by Heartland during ePRINTit SaaS registration process and is typically provided in the welcome email. The Merchant ID is included in the payment request sent to Heartland, so that Heartland can route the payment to the correct merchant account. The Merchant ID is also used by Heartland to identify and track transactions related to ePRINTit SaaS.

Shared Secret

It is used to securely transmit the secret key or shared secret between the payment gateway and ePRINTit SaaS.

A secret key is a piece of information that is used to secure and encrypt data during transmission between two parties. In the context of the Heartland payment gateway, the Shared Secret is a unique string of characters that is used to authenticate the communication between the payment gateway and ePRINTit SaaS.

The Shared Secret is generated by the payment gateway and provided to ePRINTit SaaS during the integration process.

When ePRINTit SaaS sends a request to the payment gateway, the Shared Secret is included in the request as a parameter in the API call. The payment gateway then uses the Shared Secret to authenticate the request and ensure that it is coming from a trusted source.
